Sussex Baroque is an informal collective of acclaimed musicians - singers and instrumentalists - based in Sussex in the south of England. As individuals they perform nationally and internationally, as soloists and in ensembles such as the Orchestra of the Age of Englightenment, and together represent one of the greatest concentrations of world-class musicians with a commitment to early, baroque and early classical music. As Sussex Baroque, they perform for pleasure and for the entertainment and education of the communities in which they live. They also perform as The Baroque Collective.
Sussex Baroque is directed by John Hancorn and Alison Bury, with the support of the coordination group which includes Steven Devine, Nick Houghton, Elizabeth Webb, James Halliday, Mike Dawney, James Ellis and Julia Bishop.
